beautiful sunday

Today was a beautiful day.  The temperature was perfectly comfortable in my skirt and leggings with my fleece as a jacket.  And it was nice and sunny.  There was actually enough light coming in the window this early afternoon that I could get ready to go out without my light on.  That was pretty exciting.  If only I could sleep until noon everyday.  7:40 is going to come way too early tomorrow.  That I know for sure.

But seriously.  Sleeping in is wonderful.  I got up at like 12:30 I think.  Took a nice warm shower and actually had time to do something more interesting with my hair than just a bun which was nice for a change.  Met up with Emily and we decided to visit the flamenco museum.  It was pretty interesting.  But the show was at the same time we had planned on going to mass so we had to pass on that.  We'll have to go and see a show at some point though.  Then we found a place for me to get something to eat.  Nothing really exciting, a ham and cheese sandwich, but it was good and came with a drink and chips and was still less than 3 euro so I was all for that.

After that we sat in the plaza nueva for awhile and look at all the cute and well dressed spanish kids riding bikes and roller blading and kicking soccer balls.  This one girl and her brother were racing each other around going so fast on their roller blades and every time she passed us she would say things like ¿qué pasa?  and we had no idea what she was wanting us to say.  I decided that if I have little girls some day I'm going to dress them like little spanish girls with cute little dresses and fancy coats and color coordinating shoes, tights, and hair bows.  Seriously.  The kids here are so cute.  And the babies?  They all wear these precious little knit bonnets and sweaters.  It's adorable.  But anyway.

Next we went to mass.  At the church of the magdalena again.  We just went there because we knew they had a mass later than 1:30.  It's hard to know what all the mass times of the different churches are.  Got back to the house with just a little bit of time before dinner.  It was this rice that was good except I ate around the seafood looking parts.  Then there was this hamburger like thing that R said wasn't actually hamburger and she kind of described what it was but I didn't totally get it and didn't really want to.  And our dessert was a pear which was kind of disappointing after all the chocolate last night.  But I guess I can't expect oreos every night.  Sadly.  Luckily I have some chocolate and twizzlers in my room.

That's basically it for this beautiful and relaxing sunday.  Not a bad weekend if I do say so myself.
