one of those days

Today.  Was just one of those days.

Got up and the shower was not as warm as usual.  Or I was just colder than usual.  Either way I spent the morning shivering.

I ate breakfast by myself again.  And the toaster didn't really toast my bread, it just warmed it up a little.

I had to try to explain what country does and what insurance agents do in my business class.  That was a fail.

When we tried to buy our flights to barcelona, only the return flight worked.  The getting there flight that we thought we booked came back with an email saying there had been some kind of problem and they had canceled the transaction.

We didn't want to try that site again or really that airline.  So basically we couldn't find any cheap flights to get us to barcelona at the time we wanted to go.  So, we are taking an extra day off and spending all day thursday on a train.

We did this second part of the booking at my house.  And when Emily went to leave, she opened the door and the cat got out.  I've never ever had a problem with lola trying to escape from the house, but she just took off.  Emily had to chase her down and probably got pretty scratched up dragging her back into the house.  It was a really scary moment.  But I actually found out at dinner that the same thing happened to one of the other girls when she left the house for class this morning.

This same housemate of mine was super stressed at dinner because here schedule is just not working out the way she planned and she was just so stressed that she could hardly even eat.  It cause R to put some chocolate out for dessert.  I just felt so bad for her.  But I guess maybe it was one of those days all around.

On the plus side we're going to Barcelona this weekend.  And it was Valentine's Day so on our way back to the house we stopped at this candy shop that we walk by every day and are always tempted to go into.  So we finally went and treated ourselves to some chocolate.  And chocolate makes everything better.
