Monday. That's a pretty good way to describe today.
Did I mention there are two Italian girls staying with us this week? Well, there are. And they are staying in the room down the hall from me and therefore are sharing the bathroom with me. So I get up at my normal time today and as I walk into the bathroom I can hear their alarm going off. And I knew they needed to leave before me today so I didn't want to be a bathroom hog so I tried to hurry. I'm pretty sure I set some kind of personal record and showered in about 5 minutes. I think I'm going to get up maybe 10 minutes earlier the rest of the week so I don't have to rush so much. So you would think having showered so quickly I would have more time to get ready. Well I managed to waste away that extra ten minutes very quickly and actually managed to go down to breakfast a couple minutes later than I usually do. Then I had an orange, so that took longer to eat. And the toaster didn't want to give my toast back so I had burnt toast with my orange and R talked to me a lot more than usual so I had to spend more time talking and less time eating which resulted in leaving the house a few minutes later than I usually do. But I must have walked faster than usual because I think I still got to class on time...
The morning class was spent learning how to say a hypothesis, like what you think someone might be doing or why someone might be late. And somehow there was some discussion of paranormal experiences tied in there. The second class was spent talking about horror movies which is not my favorite topic. And she showed us this clip, but not the whole thing at first. Just the terrifying part. Then we had to write our hypothesis of what happened. We had no idea what the clip actually was.
In the afternoon class we talked about spanish phrases that use body parts, similar to things like that costs an arm and a leg. Except they say that something costs and eye of the face. There's some that make sense and some that were just weird. There was also a new guy in our class. He is from Brazil. He's not new to the school though, he was just the only person in his afternoon class so they decided to move him to ours.
After class I had to go talk to Audrey, she's in charge of the internships. So I guess I'm going to go visit this daycare type place on wednesday morning to see what it is like there and see if they think I would be able to do what they need me to do and if my spanish is good enough to keep up with everything there.
Then Emily and I spent quite awhile on the internet at school. I was trying to look up more places to stay and things to do in spain and the rest of europe as well. We really need to get some travel plans figured out and the sooner the better. It's just so stressful trying to figure everything out.
So after all of that craziness we came back to my house and watched another episode of next great baker. Tomorrow we are thinking about walking around the city and finding some different churches and mass times and actually writing them down. It's supposed to be a nice day so I figure we should do some walking around and we think our lenten resolution is going to be to get to mass at least once or twice a week in addition to sunday.
Dinner was fine. Just some buttered noodles that we could put some egg or this chicken and ham mix on if we wanted. Then there was also a slice of some kind of meat. It might have been turkey, it kind of tasted like turkey. But I really have no idea. It was good though. Then J brought out this album of their grandson Mario who is 2 I believe. These were pictures of him from his first year I think, or maybe more like the first 6 or 8 months or so. Anyway he's pretty darn cute. And he was a big baby. So funny how chubby he was. It's so cute.
And that was my monday. It's weird to think it's the fourth one I've spent here.
And a pretty statue of Mary for your enjoyment. They have these in like every church that I've been to thus far. It's so amazing and beautiful.
