I can't believe I've already made it to the middle of week 4. And the weekend is going to start a little early because we are going to Madrid this weekend! Exciting! We are taking a 2:45 train from Sevilla and should get to Madrid at at 5:15. There we will get to see lovely Madrid and, of course, Julie! I'm pretty excited.
So today I missed the grammar class to go see this daycare place I might do my internship at. I think it went ok. We didn't really talk much about what I would be doing exactly, but it seemed like that is what I would be doing. I'll probably start looking up basic commands and phrases to use with small children. The teachers seemed nice enough though and the kids of course were adorable. It's just a tiny little place with 3 rooms, one for the up to 1, one for the 1-2, and one for the 2-3 year olds. So it will be interesting to see how the whole internship situation develops.
In communication we had a very interesting class where we talked about some futbol (soccer) players, David Beckham, and this portuguese guy that plays for real madrid. (I think that's who they said he plays for) But basically we looked at their image and described it and discussed whether we liked guys with this kind of image and style. It's was just kind of weird and ridiculous. I would have rather missed that and gone to grammar. They learned about phrases with cuando which I feel is kind of important. The movie finally worked in the afternoon class and the movie was pretty good. Thank goodness for subtitle though. They were in spanish but it was still much easier to read those than try to understand the actual dialogue. It was an argentinian film and the buenos aires accent and weird grammar structure is kind of hard to follow.
This afternoon we went to the 100 montaditos for a little snack before going to see moneyball. I really liked the movie, but it made me wish for baseball season. After the movie I came back to the house and didn't have to wait to long for dinner. I had this pasta thing, don't really know what you would call it. It had cheese mixed in with the sauce and the pasta was filled with spinach. It was pretty good. Also had a slice of some kind of meat and then the best part of all was the strawberries we had for dessert. I was so excited because I love strawberries.
And now I think I probably have some homework or something that I should be doing. I'll get around to it at some point...
