Yeah. I know. It's been awhile.
What's my excuse? Well...I was tired? I haven't done anything exciting this week? I don't want to admit that I live in spain but all I did all week after work was come back to the house and almost immediately fall asleep? Something like that.
But today was saturday and I did get out of the house a bit. I slept in which is always nice. Then we went to the archeological museum or something like that. It was interesting enough I suppose but it was a good thing it was free for students because I don't think I would have wanted to spend money on it. After that we walked to the bus station to buy tickets to go to Cádiz tomorrow. So that should be fun. It will just be for a few hours, but it should be a relaxing trip. We're hoping to spend some time at the beach because the city is close to the atlantic. Then we just walked around some more and eventually stopped at a place J was telling me about last night where they have one of the pasos, which is what is carried during the semana santa or holy week processions, on display. It is the paso of the brotherhood of jesus del gran poder and is one of the oldest and most ornately decorated. It's a great example of baroque art I'm told. So that was pretty cool. We also went to mass at this tiny church not too far from my house called santa rosalía. It was cool because the front part of the church where the altar is was gated off and that was where the nuns sat and they sang throughout the mass. So that was a nice change from the usual masses here where there is no music at all. All in all it was just a nice relaxing day of enjoying sevilla.
