Today was the trip to Gibraltar. It was a quick trip but I'd say it was worth it. We had to get up early to get to the bus and then it was like a 2 and a half hour trip to get to Gibraltar. When we got there we had to show our passports since it was basically like going to Britain. And then we had to wait for other smaller buses to take us up to the rock of gibraltar. And once we got on the bus and out on the street we had to wait a few minutes for a plane to land of take off because the interesting thing about the gibraltar airport is that the runway overlaps with the road so traffic has to stop whenever planes need to take off or land. But eventually we got on our way. The first stop was europa point where you get a nice view of the straight of gibraltar where the atlantic ocean meets the mediterranean sea. Also you can see part of africa across the way.

Then it was up to the rock to go see a cave and the apes. The cave was pretty cool looking but the monkeys are definitely the biggest attraction.
| you're not supposed to feed the monkeys, but apparently tour guides don't have to follow that rule so the monkeys were all over this guy |
| the tour guide put some food on this girl's shoulder and the monkey hopped right on up - you're not supposed to touch the monkeys, but they touch you |
| might not have had a monkey sitting on my shoulder, but I got plenty close enough I think |
After the monkeys our tour was over and we had some free time to walk around and shop and eat lunch. We went into a few different shops and eventually settled on a restaurant where we split a pizza. Then it was back to the bus and back to Sevilla. So the day was not too eventful, but it was a good experience and I'm glad I went. It was definitely a different sort of experience being in a place that is technically british but has so many spanish influences. Almost all of the people there are bilingual and basically speak spanglish a lot. Our tour guide for the rock would speak in english but every once in awhile there would be a random spanish word or phrase thrown in. It was pretty cool.
